Why I think every one of you is awesome.

So I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to blog about this week. There’s so much going on right now, I can barely get my head straight. I couldn’t come up with a subject – and that led me down the pathway of wondering why I even bother with this old blog at all.

What do I have to say that is of interest to anyone?

When I think about it – what do I usually ramble about? I don’t have a niche, I don’t have a target audience, I don’t make any effort to be informative, or educational, or entertaining. Really, I just blog about whatever thought is in my head at this time.

Like this!

So I went back to the start, to see why I set up this blog – and you know what? I didn’t know what I wanted to blog about then either.

What I said then, and what is true now, is I blog because I want to get my thoughts out, and writing them down gives me some order in the chaos.

I blog because I want to practice.

I blog because I love the blogging community I have met while doing so.

And all that is true still today. I might not post as often but I still like to clear the cobwebs out.  I never set up my home here in my little den of the blogosphere in order to build a massive following, or even expected a small one.

I’m grateful to every single person who stops to read, and love those who comment. In fact, those readers are more important, because you found your way here and stopped along the way through, I assume, interest, not because I actively went to target and entice you in with a planned sales and marketing strategy.

How much more awesome is that!

I’m curious to know – why do you blog? Are the reasons you started different to those that you have now?
